Automatic creation of expected shapes from mold analysis results "Compensator"

Effectively utilize the analysis results of press/plastic molds to reduce estimated man-hours and trial counts.

The analysis results of springback in press molds and shrinkage in plastic molds are often output as meshes, which requires complex CAD operations and manual deformations to reflect them in the mold model, resulting in significant time and effort. With the evolved "Compensator" of ThinkDesign's Global Shape Modeling (GSM), complex CAD operations are unnecessary, as it allows for simple operations using only the mold design data and the meshes before and after analysis. It creates high-precision and high-quality mold predictions through automatic iterative calculations down to tolerances, achieving dramatic reductions in man-hours. Additionally, unlike manual deformations that specify cross-sectional lines or points, all results can be utilized for the predicted shape, enabling effective use of analysis results. *Note: Compensator operates with ThinkDesign Professional. ● Workflow for Analysis Prediction Deformation STEP 1 → Load mold design data STEP 2 → Extract product and post-analysis coordinate values from the analysis mesh STEP 3 → Check the arrows of the movement vectors STEP 4 → Set tolerances and constraints, and calculate deformation information from the separation of the two meshes STEP 5 → Apply deformation information to the mold design data
